Barry M Mint Green and Pink Fizz!

I am super excited about this post! I couldn't wait to try these out! You may have seen my post on one of my recent Epic Nail Mail Days where I received several Barry M nail polishes in an international swap with Sammy. I have been wanting some Barry M for a long time now. I knew I could order from their website, but I really wanted them from a swap instead. I think the polishes are much more special that way. Sammy completely spoiled me, and sent BOTH Instant Nail Effects that I asked for and a ton of other colors from my wishlist. I must say, HANDS DOWN this is my ultimate favorite crackle polish! I am so impressed with the results. If the blue that she sent me works just as well, I plan on ordering both the black and white from their website too. I already have OPI and China Glaze in those colors, but they cannot compare to Barry M! WOW!

I started off with 3 coats of Mint Green. Two coats would have done the job, but it was a bit sheer in some places. I really like the brush on these, the polish went on so smoothly. I followed up with a coat of Orly Sec N' Dry.

Artificial light, no flash.

Then I added one coat of Pink Fizz. I applied thick brush strokes and it cracked very quickly. I did have some shrinkage on my ring finger, you can see in the photos. That is the only nail that did that. Not sure if I didn't apply it all the way to the end of the nail or what went wrong there.

No top coat.

Then I added 1 coat of Nubar Diamont Seal and Shine Topcoat. There was no additional shrinkage on any of my nails, including my ring finger.

What do you think? I am in love with this combo and I am super excited to show off my nails tomorrow. I am meeting a fellow friend and blogger, Tara from Tara's Nails in Philadelphia. She is in town for the weekend for a family event and we decided to meet up and go shopping. Her friend Brooke will be joining us, as well as my good friend Casandra from The Mani-Logues. The four of us have a big day planned. I found a dozen nail supply shops in the area, seven of which are open to the public and we are going to hope for some HTFs for cheap! Stay tuned for that, I plan on taking my camera along and will do a blog post about our day!
